A new single well closed loop geothermal solution has limited geological requirements to work and can therefore provide geothermal heat for district heating in most places. One facility can be 3 to 10 wells. Maintenance is limited as there are no downhole equipment and the surface installation for on well can fit in a 20-foot container. The Hungarian geology with a high temperature gradient makes it possible to implement this geothermal solution most places. The technical solution and possible use for district heating in Hungary will be presented.
